Sanderlings

Sanderlings

The Sanderling is a day-sailor offering a spacious cockpit and roomy cabin unrivaled by any boat of similar length. A Sanderling is a great boat to sail with kids or sail across the bay with four or five friends. Her size, stability and self-bailing cockpit allow her to withstand some of the most challenging conditions. She is a quick, responsive, one design which is being raced in growing fleets in the Chesapeake, New Jersey and New England. The Sanderling is one of the oldest continuously produced fiberglass boats on the market, Marshall Marine has built over 830 of them since 1962.
The Sanderling has been on the Barnegat bay for many years. The Sanderling has had an inter-club presence at many yacht clubs on the bay as it is a great day-sailor boat. In 1974, Sanderlings started racing in the Barnegat Bay Yacht Racing Association’s series. The class is still active on the bay to this day.
